ISO vs US week numbers
Not every country counts weeks the same way. The ISO 8601 standard, used across most of Europe and in business worldwide, starts each week on Monday. Week 1 is the week holding the year's first Thursday. By that rule, today is week 22 of 2026.
The US system works differently. Weeks start on Sunday, and week 1 is simply the week containing January 1.
